Getting Homework Help |
| Often articles are submitted to k12.ed.math requesting help with math assignments. For the most beneficial experience with learning math and obtaining help, please follow these guidelines:
1. When you post your problem, describe what you have attempted so far, what it is that you already understand about the problem, and what parts have you confused. (This will help respondents to give you the most useful response possible.) 2. Do not expect someone to simply hand you the complete solution. Perhaps they will give you some examples or hints to get you started. 3. Do not expect to get answers within a very short amount of time. It may be a couple of days before answers are posted to the newsgroup, and it is entirely possible that you will get no answers at all. 4. Follow up the thread with a note about how it all worked out for you, summarizing your successes or difficulties with the problem. 5. Above all, remember that while you can get help on the Internet, we are not here to simply do your homework for you! 6. If at all possible, consider going to your own instructor for tutoring or office hours outside of class time, or asking more questions during class. This is usually much more effective than asking strangers for help over the Internet.
