Sharing binary files with k12.ed.math readers
Sometimes you may want to make a file available to other readers in the newsgroup k12.ed.math. Unfortunately, k12.ed.math does not permit the posting of binary files. All files posted to the newsgroup must be plain text files.

Here are some ways you might be able to offer binary files:

1. E-mail your file to the moderator at kem-moderator@thinkspot.net and request that the moderator make it available for download off of the k12.ed.math website. Either you or the moderator can then post an announcement to the group that the file is available for download, including the URL.

2. Obtain your own website and make your file available for download from there. You can then post an announcement to the newsgroup of the pertinent URL. Here is the Yahoo.com list of free website providers: http://dir.yahoo.com/Business_and_Economy/Companies/Internet_Services/Web_Services/Website_Hosting/Free_Web_Pages/
