k12.ed.math Faq-O-Matic

(Answer) (Category) k12.ed.math Faq-O-Matic : (Category) How to Participate in k12.ed.math :
Is a valid email address required for posting to the newsgroup?
No, a valid email address is not required.

HOWEVER, ensure that you are NOT using an email address that may belong to someone else. Make sure to use an email address that is clearly invalid.

When picking an invalid (or munged) email address, ensure that
YOU DO NOT USE any valid domain to the right of the '@' symbol in an email address intended to be invalid.

The following FAQ on how to Munge your email address goes into more detail than I will do here
http://members.aol.com/emailfaq/mungfaq.html

If the moderator becomes aware that someone is using another person's email address without authorization to post articles to k12.ed.math, then the moderator will have to stop posting articles for that email address.

Both submissions sent to the newsgroup from a news server and those sent privately via email may use an invalid email address, if it is properly "munged" as indicated above.
